How to Create a Token for Your DAO

1. Go to your DAO management page

To manage tokens for your DAO go to the DAO management page and click the Tokens section in the left side navigation.

2. Click Create Token

To create tokens for your DAO, click the Create Token button. This will pop up a form where you can set up your token.

3. Fill out the token generation form

Fill out the form to generate your token. You'll be asked to provide the following fields:

Name - The name of the token

Icon - The image that will be displayed for this token

Description - The description that will be displayed for this token

Symbol - The symbol that will be displayed for this token, ex. SOL

Starting Price - The starting price of the token

Token Supply - The number of tokens to be created

Token Decimals - The number of token decimals you want to allow

Freeze Authority - An option to retain control of the freeze authority

Mint Authority - An option to retain control of the mint authority

Be sure to also do enough due diligence to ensure that your token does not constitute a security under US Law

4. Approve the transaction from your wallet

Once you submit the form, you will be asked to approve a transaction from your wallet authorizing the creation of the token.

5. Authorize payment from your wallet

Once you approve the transaction, you will be asked to authorize the payment of a small amount of SOL (less than .001 SOL) in order to create the token. Your wallet must have enough SOL for this to work. It will not work if you have an empty wallet.

6. Congratulations! You've created a token

Once you authorize the payment, your token will officially be created and you will see a success message similar to the one below:

From here, you can click See Token to view your token in the Token Management page.

Back in the token management page, you can now send tokens to members of your DAO.

Tokens can be used by your members to vote for any upcoming proposals in your DAO.
